The American river, feather river and Sacramento River opened up July 16th. There were a few salmon caught on all the rivers. Most of the salmon caught were spring run fish. I’m still waiting for the fall run salmon to show up.
I’ve been fishing the ocean this year for salmon and the bite has been very good. If the ocean fishing is an indicator of how the river is going to fish be ready for some excellent fishing. I will be at Woodson bridge again so for those of you that want to get in on some fun bobber fishing give me a call soon. My days are filling up.
